A Day in the Life | Arbors at Arundel Mills (PART I)

Arbors at Arundel Mills is right around the corner from all the main attractions located in the DC-Baltimore Metro areas. Luckily, it’s nestled far enough away from the city where you always find the peace-and-quiet of living in a suburban setting flush with trees, wildlife, and friendly people. It’s the perfect setting if you enjoy kicking back to relax, dining at amazing restaurants, and occasionally sneaking out to have some fun out on the town.

Let’s walk-though a Day-in-the-Life “Weekend Edition” of one of our Interim Homes Clients!

Friday

5pm: Whoo Hoo! It’s the weekend. The longest possible time until more work! It’s time to celebrate. You head home, but decide to swing by Dave and Busters for a drink with you friends, a quick bite, and catch the beginning of the National’s Baseball Game (September Baseball is always the most exciting.)

8pm: You make plans with your friends to meet up tomorrow evening and head out on the town for the night, so realizing it’s going to be a long weekend you decide to take it easy tonight. On your walk home, past the Cinemark Egyptian 24 and XD Movie Theatre, you come across one of the most important decisions of your life: Slapstick Comedy ‘The Campaign’ starring Will Farrell and Zach Galifianakis… or the Highly Acclaimed ‘Dark Knight Rises’. Scratching your head in front of the ticket booth, you decide that you need some reassurance.

8:30pm: You make a quick call to your friend that lives in your building and she says that all the Washington Post had a featured article about ‘Dark Knight Rises’ in today’s paper and she’s been meaning to see it. Smelling an opportunity, you ask her if she’d like to join… and get a quick ‘YES!’ for an answer.

11pm: Movie lets out and you walk your ‘date’ home, not before making plans for the following weekend and maybe even the Slapstick Comedy that you secretly wanted to see instead. Instead she points out that Medieval Times is right across the street and could be fun… you succumb to her suggestion.

11:30pm: Back at your Furnished Interim Homes Corporate Apartment, you reheat some leftovers in the microwave and catch the ending of that National’s game that has gone into extra innings. Nat’s win, you hit the lights, and grab some sleep. Long day tomorrow.

(… to be continued!)

Stayed at Aura Pentagon City, which is centrally located and within walking distance to Pentagon City Mall, the metro station, and the Pentagon itself. Whole Foods,... Costco, Starbucks and great restaurants ranging from Latin food to South Asian cuisine, all within minutes. This property is dog-friendly so if you don't like pets, do not consider this! Elevators and hallway carpets have pet fur all over the place which sometimes seeps into the apartment with your feet. Great for long distance walking. The apartment is modern with appliances, comfortable couches and bed, and carpeted bedroom. The single apartment is quite spacious but balcony is tiny. Interim Housing staff is professional and very quick to respond to inquiries and concerns. Appreciated their assistance and kindness during my two-month stay!read more

Interim Homes stay at Avalon 555 property was perfect for me and my Family. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit was spacious, well furnished with all amenities... the floor to... ceiling window views of bustling Baltimore Harbor East area were amazing. Roof top infinity pool and 24 hour concierge... over the top. Interim staff Christiana, Chris, Athena in Accounting and especially Julia in Guest Services made our approval, check-in and extension seamless. This was truly an interim home as my Mother and I awaiting closing of our new home in the Baltimore area, while my Aunt received treatments and care at Johns Hopkins. This really avoided my Aunt and Uncle traveling back and forth from Wilmington DE over a three week period and staying in hotels during this trying time. Kudos to you Interim Homes!!!!read more

I had the pleasure of staying in a fully furnished one bedroom apartment in Andover House in the DuPont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC during the summer of 2018,... and the good people of Interim Homes could not have been more helpful. From my first call speaking to a customer service rep who provided me a quote to my seamless arrival, which included complimentary coffee, sugar and creamers and a few snacks (so thoughtful and much appreciated after an eleven-hundred mile drive), every step of the process was easy and convenient. I also ended up needing to extend my stay unexpectedly by one week and Interim Homes was flexible and accommodating. Thank you to Shannon and staff! You are in good hands for your temporary housing needs with Interim Homes.read more
